Los Angeles Marathon in Beverly Hills Sunday, March 21, 2010 For the first time in marathon history, more than 20,000 runners will race through Beverly Hills – passing City Hall and traveling along Rodeo Drive. Nicknamed “Stadium to the Sea,” the marathon begins at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and passes through West Hollywood and Beverly Hills before ending near the Santa Monica Pier.
	California Healthy Kids Survey Your child is being asked to be a part of our school’s California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), sponsored by the California Department of Education. This is a very important survey that will help promote better health and well-being among our youth, improve the school learning environment, and combat problems such as drug abuse and violence. Your child does not have to take the survey. Participation is voluntary and requires your permission.

	El Rodeo's School-Wide Sock Drive - March 1- 5 Children in LA need new socks. The socks collected by El Rodeo will be dondated to ONE VOICE, a non-profit organization that assists impoverished children and their families living in LA. Since 1982, the philosophy of ONE VOICE has been "that each of us can make a difference and together we can create a community of caring to help those in need." Please donate NEW white athletic socks for children ages 3-14 (sizes 4-12). Drop off curbside Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:00-8:30 and Wednesday, 9:00-9:30 or in the boxes located in the school lobby.

	Kindergarten and New Resident Pre-enrollment will begin on February 1, 2010 Children who will be eligible to enter kindergarten or new resident enrollees at any grade level in the Beverly Hills Unified School District next fall may be pre-enrolled in the their next year’s grade level at the school within their zone commencing February 1, 2010
